Event Highlights
County Groups Concert At Lincoln Cathedral, 2022
The County Groups Showcase concert took place on Friday, April 14 at 7.30pm. It brought 150 of Lincolnshire’s finest young musicians to Lincoln Cathedral for a special show.
Performers are aged between 10 and 20, with members of the Lincolnshire Youth String and Wind Orchestras, playing a staged concert in celebration of King Charles III.
Jazz Machine, Lincoln Jazz Festival, 2023
Following the retirement of John Crouch, founder and Director for 35 years, Lincoln’s Jazzpac stepped in to save this valuable musical platform for aspiring young musicians. With funding from the Postlethwaite Musical Foundation, EMJAZZ, and forming a partnership with the Lincs Music Service a new orchestra, called ‘Jazz Machine’ has been successfully assembled.
Students of Jazz Machine played in the ‘open rehearsal’ of the orchestra alongside their mentors: Dennis Rollins MBE, Andrew Wood, David Chambers and Ashley Squires.

Lincoln Youth Orchestra young musicians eagerly prepared for their Spanish Tour from 20-27 July 2023. With well-rehearsed music and hearts brimming with anticipation, they were ready to embrace Spain’s vibrant culture, perform in renowned historical buildings, and create unforgettable memories on their musical odyssey.
